New Gameplay Trailers For Kingdom Under Fire II Emerge

Kingdom Under Fire II hasn’t had an easy road. The game was announced back in January 2008, which (for those of you keeping track) is before President Obama took office. And, at the rate it’s going, the game might just about watch him serve out both of his terms. This, generally speaking, is not a good length for a development cycle. The game was originally supposed to be an Xbox 360 and PS3 title, although they switched over to PS4 when it became apparent they wouldn’t be able to get it done within any last-gen console’s lifetime.

Then, they promised us that the game would DEFINITELY be getting a release sometime this summer and, oops, that clearly didn’t happen. What we did get, though, were two new trailers for the game showcasing a bunch of gameplay footage. And, admittedly, the trailers look great. There’s tons of actual gameplay snippets and some huge, epic battles. However, we’ve seen really good trailers and screenshots in the past. What the game really needs is an official release date.

Check out the trailers below and tell yourself that this time it’ll be different. I mean, judging from the trailers it looks like they are really far along. Right? RIGHT?
