When Steam first launched, it ushered a new generation of gamer’s toward the magic of instant gratification. Libraries of titles, both major releases and little-known indies, finally made available at the click of a button — and often at great discounts.
Now, after years of tweaking, perfecting and pushing (including the latest updates), Steam has broken another in a long list of milestones: passing 100 million active accounts. To put things in perspective for you, that’s nearly 20 million more people than the entire population of Germany.
Additionally, Valve announced that over 1300 new titles have been added to Steam this year, making the total over 3700 games. Wowza.
