4J Studios and Mojang have announced that Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition has been handed over to Sony for final testing. This is the last stage the game needs to go through before release.

The PS Vita edition will be similar to the PS3 edition, and will feature all the same content and features from that version. This includes awesome features like online play, and not so awesome features like the restricted map sizes.
Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition will be released as a Cross-Buy title. If you already own Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition then the PS Vita version will be available to download for free. Don’t own any version of Minecraft on PlayStation? Get both versions for only $19.99.
As an added bonus, all DLC is Cross-Buy, meaning anything purchased on one platform will work on the other.
