If there’s one thing Donald Glover likes, it’s video games. Not only has he referenced them in his show Community, but he’s also mentioned them as his rap alter-ego, Childish Gambino (going deep enough to namedrop ToeJam & Earl). It looks like Glover may actually be in a video game, as he’s mentioned in a recent interview with Complex that he’s involved with the upcoming Far Cry 4. Glover said Ubisoft asked if he knew what the game was, and when he confirmed he did, they said they liked his song “Crawl” and offered him to do something with the game.
What that may be is unclear at this point. Possibilities include marketing, his song(s) in the game (Far Cry 3 featured a track from Die Antwoord, so licensed music is always a possibility), or a voice acting role. We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out.
