Latest War Thunder Trailer Is Unbelievably Awesome

Seriously, it looks like an army recruitment video directed by Michael Bay. It could also be the trailer to an HBO miniseries about Germany’s attempt at invading Russia. Or maybe just the prophetic findings of a mystical team of filmmakers?

It’s almost hard to believe how popular the simulation genre has become in recent years. I mean, between the bizarre pigeon boyfriend abomination and the latest sim about tilling soil and being bored, it’s refreshing to see that some things (like gamer’s love of tanks, planes and explosions) never change. And this video is probably the best, most intense display of those three things in video game trailer history.

From War Thunder’s YouTube description of the video:

In October 1941, the German Army Group “Centre” advanced to Moscow, only after six months of intense fighting was the enemy able to be thrown from the capital. To commemorate the heroism of the Moscow defenders and all the participants of the Great Patriotic War, we dedicate our new video to them.
Watch the trailer below, and let us know in the comments if you agree that it should be submitted to Cannes.
