BioWare has announced the latest expansion pack for Star Wars: The Old Republic; Shadow of Revan.
As the poop title implies, the focus of the expansion pack is Revan, the protagonist of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. He made an appearance in the main story of The Old Republic, but his fate was left ambiguous. Shadow of Revan see his return to the galaxy at the head of an apocalyptic cult. With no remorse, Revan aims to destroy both the Republic and Empire by any means necessary. Shadow of Revan raises the level cap to 60 and adds a number of new worlds, Operations, and Flashpoints.
BioWare and EA are offering a number of pre-order incentives for the expansion. Pre-ordering by November 2 nets you a 12x experience boost that lasts until you hit Level 55. There’s also Grand Statue of Revan you can display in Player Strongholds thrown in for good measure, and you’ll get the first expansion, Rise of the Hutt Cartel, free of charge. However, the best incentive is the fact that pre-ordering grants you early access to the expansion. You’ll get to start playing December 2, a week before everyone else. The rest of the world can experience Shadow of Revan on December 9 for $19.99.
