2014 has been the year of delays as again and again games continue to fail to meet their scheduled dates. Even as we enter autumn, publishers are assessing their projects and making tough choices that could affect their sales drastically. Ubisoft has announced today through their UbiBlog that they will be pushing the highly anticipated open world racer, The Crew, by one month to hope to ensure the best experience possible.
“We received a lot of valuable information from the recent PC and console betas,” says Creative Director Julian Gerighty. “We are now scrutinizing all of the player feedback so we can ensure that The Crew delivers the seamless open-world experience that meets everyone’s high expectations.”
Originally slated for November 11, The Crew will now hit PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on December 2, not making that pre-Thanksgiving rush. This is no doubt disappointing, especially considering it was only a month away, but so long as Ubisoft does everything in their power to work out bugs and create the best product possible, then one month is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
