UK Charts: FIFA 15 Defies Middle-Earth, Forza, and Smash Bros. to Retain Top Spot

The results are in, and FIFA 15 scores another goal in the UK despite three new releases. These weren’t ordinary releases, either. We’re talking three AAA releases from major publishers.

The titles in question are Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Forza Horizon 2, and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, which made their debuts in the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. Nothing to scoff at, but still disappointing for AAA titles. This is the time of year where you have to make strong impressions out of the gate, or get swallowed by the onslaught of fall releases.
