Assassin’s Creed Franchise Gets Midweek Madness Sale on Steam

The Assassin’s Creed games are some of the biggest in gaming, but aren’t on sale very often on Steam. Until October 10, every entry in the series will be on sale thanks to midweek madness.

  • Assassin’s Creed: Director’s Cut Edition – $4.99
  • Assassin’s Creed II: Deluxe Edition – $4.99
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood – $4.99
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Deluxe – $7.49
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations – $4.99
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations – Gold Edition – $7.49
  • Assassin’s Creed III – $4.99
  • Assassin’s Creed III: Deluxe Edition – $12.49
  • Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry – $5.09
  • Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD – $9.99
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – $26.79
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Digital Gold Edition – $40.19

Newcomers are probably best just picking up Assassin’s Creed II, playing it for a bit, and then getting Assassin’s Creed III or perhaps Brotherhood. Liberation and Freedom Cry are quite skippable, but the numbered entries are quite good. The lack of a heavy discount on IV makes it a bit harder to recommend, but being able to get Assassin’s Creed III for $5 is great – and you’ll save a lot overall if you choose to get the deluxe edition for a bit more. The series is very samey, but also quite good. III and IV mixed things up considerably with ship combat, while action and stealth blend together nicely for the other games.
