Apple has confirmed that they will be holding an event on October 16.
The announcement shouldn’t be all that shocking as the date had been rumored for sometime. Today Apple sent out invitations for the event showcasing a rainbow colored Apple and the tagline, “Its been way too long.”
Apple traditionally uses an October event to announce new iPad and iPad Mini models, which is likely what we’ll see on the sixteenth. These models will most likely be announced with the new Apple A8 Chip, fingerprint sensors, and a gold-colored option.
We will also see a new high-resolution iMac, which will sport the gorgeous Retina Display found on iPhones and iPads. The release date for Mac OS X Yosemite will be announced.
Of course we might also see other surprises. Based on the rainbow colored Apple logo and the tagline, we might see brand new iPod Touch models, something that hasn’t happened in years.
