Ubisoft Drops Intense New Trailer, Childish Gambino Drops Mad Beats

A few days ago it was revealed that rap artist Childish Gambino (AKA Donald Glover of Community fame) would be collaborating with Ubisoft in some capacity on Far Cry 4, and that it would involve the dark, twisted song “Crawl” from his latest album. Today the results of that collaboration have been revealed: a thrilling, trippy trailer that sets scenes of violent brutality from the game to the song’s beat. The trailer hits hard and fast, and even manages to score a few laughs, and the timing of the action is absolutely spot on. Check it out:

I hope this trailer isn’t the last we see of this collaboration. It would be nice to listen to some Childish Gambino songs in-game, of course, but I’d really like to see Glover in the game as a voice actor. He’s one of the most talented comedic actors of this generation, and it would be hilarious to see him bounce off some of the other talent involved with the game. We’ll see if that’s the case when Far Cry 4 hits our shelves on November 18.
