Doctor, doctor, give me the news, I got a bad case of subpar racing game.
Driveclub just can’t seem to catch a break (or a gas pedal — badum tiss). The PlayStation Plus version has been delayed, the servers aren’t performing up to snuff, and players are reporting countless in-game issues.
The good news is, Sony and Evolution Studios are working to improve the game. In an effort to provide a more stable experience, Evolution Studios will be performing server diagnostics. What does this mean? Well: playing will be tough. According to a recent post on the company’s Facebook page, “the servers are up and running but they are hitting their performance limits, so they won’t accept new connections until one of the current online players frees up their space.”
Sadly, in its current state, there’s little reason to jump behind the wheel (unless you’re a huge fan of pretty backdrops). This is expected to change soon, but be sure to read our review before coughing up the entry fee.
