Ratchet & Clank Still Coming in 2015, Will Be a Re-Imagining

Ratchet & Clank is still coming in 2015 despite being completely absent from the PlayStation Experience. Sony and Insomniac Games announced the game at E3 2014, but have shown next to nothing about the game. Today, however, a few Tweets Insomniac Games made during the PlayStation Experience have come to light, and they include a few tidbits of new information.

First off, Ratchet & Clank will not be a remake of the original, but a re-imagining. So, when you boot up Ratchet & Clank, don’t expect the same experience as the original PS2 game.

Insomniac Games also reiterated that the game will launch in 2015, but not Q1. The game is believed to launch alongside the upcoming feature length film, though we don’t have a firm release date for that either.

Ratchet & Clank is one of PlayStation’s top mascots having made his way from PS2-to-PS3-to-PS4. Knowing that he will indeed make his PS4 debut in 2015, and by original developer Insomniac Games, is very exciting.
