Microsoft Apologizes for Halo: MCC with Free Halo 3: ODST Remaster and More

In a post on Xbox Wire, Bonnie Ross, head of 343 Industries, said as a “thank you” to fans who dealt with bugs and matchmaking problems in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft will give one month of Xbox Live and an exclusive in-game nameplate as well as avatar.

In addition, the team is fully remastering the Halo 3: ODST campaign in 1080p and 60 FPS, along with a remastered map from Halo 2: Anniversary Edition, “Relic,”  which will be made available for free to early adopters of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

You’ll need to have played the game between November 11th and December 19th to get the apologetic perks.  There have been no announcements as to what the full price or release dates of Halo: ODST’s remastered campaign or the “Relic” map will be, but people who have played Halo: The Master Chief Collection within the eligibility window will be able to acquire their free month of Xbox Live, “as early as mid-January 2015.”
