Smite 2015 Prize Pool Reaches Over 2.13 Million Dollars, Surpassing League of Legends’ 2014 Pool

A tweet by Stewart Chisam, president of Hi-Rez Studios, announced that the prize pool for Smite’s World Championship has reached over 2.13 million dollars, surpassing League of Legends’ 2014 Championship’s prize pool.

Unlike the League of Legends tournament, Smite’s World Championship utilized crowd-sourcing, donating portions of proceeds from in-game items towards the prize pool. Smite’s World Championship will be held in Atlanta from January 9 to 11 of next year.

Smite is developed by Hi-Rez Studios and available for PC and soon to be released on Xbox One.
