The unfortunate intermittency of Playstation Network over the holidays left many Playstation fans in the dark, and while the network is currently in much better condition, Sony still wants to make up for the time and give back to PSN users.
According to the Playstation Blog, PS+ users with an active membership or free trial on December 25 will get a five-day extension on their subscription. It will be automatically applied to the subscription; no further action required.
In addition, all PSN users will receive a 10 percent discount code, which will take 10 percent off the total cost of anything on the PS Store. This includes movies, TV, downloadable content, season passes, and full games. This code will be distributed later this month, but will only be available for a limited time.
It’s nothing too spectacular, but it shows that Sony wants to help out the PSN users affected by the outage, including those who anxiously awaited to try out their new PS4 on Christmas.
