Last Call for Broforce Spin-Off The Expendabros

The Expendabros came out this summer as a free tie-in to The Expendables 3, taking the gameplay of Broforce and welding it to an actual movie.  While no real character names from The Expendables were used, it still managed to be the best licensed game of 2014.  Unfortunately it’s also the shortest-lived game of 2014, with a shelf-life that should have been up a couple days ago.  The text on its Steam page reads “The Expendabros … will be available for download until December 31, 2014.”  At the time of this writing January 2 is a couple hours from done and it’s still there, available for download, but who knows how much longer that’s going to last?  With After Burner Climax, Uno, Marvel vs Capcom: Origins, and Scott Pilgrim vs The World all disappearing with advance notice either rumored or simply not given, it’s good to see a game not only admit up front that it’s available for a finite time but to actually exceed it by a bit.  It’s unlikely The Expendabros is going to be around much longer, though, so seeing as it’s free you might as well get while the getting’s good.  Like all its unavailable brethren from the end of the year, once you’ve got it you should be able to play it as much as you like, but if you don’t have it then the opportunity is simply gone.
