NCSOFT Invests Heavily In Mobile Developer

NCSOFT, a company most notable for publishing the Guild Wars series, is taking on the mobile market with newly formed mobile developer BiNAREE. While still in search of managers, programmers and assorted talents, the young, Korean developer has its ducks in a row and eggs in a basket — the now tired, true and convenient Zombie basket, to be exact.

According to BiNAREE CEO Kyungheon Kim, the company’s content will “represent zombies for mobile platforms.” And the first game, a currently untitled social strategy game (project name: APO), aims to bring the zombie apocalypse to the pockets of millions with western-style storytelling and a free-to-play design.

The target release date is 2016 — little else is known, so stay tuned.
