Rumors are beginning to circulate that Youtube is aiming to relaunch their own livestreaming functionality specifically for video games.
The Daily Dot source says that Google has created a team of 50 engineers so far to improve livestreaming through Youtube, with an official announcement of the updated service set for E3 2015 in June. While Youtube has been in the livestreaming business for a while now, this initiative would drive a stronger focus on game streaming and eSports.
This rumor surfaces after Google failed to obtain Twitch, leaving it open to acquisition by Amazon in 2014.
