Capcom has released the latest Resident Evil: Revelations 2 update, which adds new content and fan-requested features. The most prominent being online co-op for Raid mode. While players could play Raid mode locally out of the box, online play was mysteriously missing. The update is available now on PS4, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Xbox One should receive the update soon.
In addition to co-op, the update also bumps up the difficulty of all “Code Red” stages in Raid Mode. Finally, players can now invite a friend directly into a Raid session, matchmake with other players online, or create your own session. Capcom has also included a “news feed” crawl on the main menu and Raid Mode, which contains updates from the developer and publisher.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 launched last month as an episodic game. Over four chapters, players got to play as franchise veterans Claire Redfield and Barry Burton, and newcomers Moira Burton and Natalia. We found the game to be a complete surprise, and a step in the right direction for the troubled franchise.
