It doesn’t look like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will support a native resolution of 1080p on Xbox One. Even with the upcoming Direct X12 update, CD Projekt Red doesn’t think that will be enough to push the resolution up from 900p.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, game designer Damien Monnier explained that the update won’t be enough. Microsoft would need to make a bigger change in order to get that bump-up from 900p to 1080p.
@Lloydy2K i think any resolution changes would require a much bigger change from Microsoft than dx12 upgrade to be honest.

This is in stark contrast to the PS4 and PC versions, which will support native 1080p resolutions. PC players can take that a step further with 4K resolution, though they’ll have to meet the recommended specifications and have a 4K monitor. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out May 19 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
