Capcom Is Holding a DmC: Definitive Edition Style Tournament

Capcom is asking Devil May Cry fans to show off their moves in celebration of DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition’s release on PS4 and Xbox One.

Normally held by fans, Devil May Cry style competitions have players stringing together flashy combos using different weapons and styles. Capcom is sponsoring an official tournament with some pretty serious prizes. Finalists will receive a Japanese copy of Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, signed by key members of the development team, and the grand prize winner will receive a signed PS4 copy of the Japanese Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition Limited Edition in addition to an extra signed copy of the game for either PS4 or Xbox One.

The tournament will be in 4 rounds, with judges at Capcom looking over 60 second clips submitted using the Xbox One and PS4’s innate video capture capabilities. Each round will have their own rules, with the first being:

Character: Dante

Difficulty: Son of Sparda

Modifiers: Must Style, Turbo Mode; Super Dante and Hardcore Mode are optional!

Mission: Under Watch

Fight: Anywhere from the first enemy wave in the Mission until Dante takes out the first CCTV eyeball. So basically, any part of the first section with enemies.

Entries for round one must be submitted by Monday, April 13th. ┬áIf you’re serious about entering, then be sure and check out the official listing to see the full rules and regulations of Capcom’s first ever official DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition Style Tournament.
