The latest iteration in Frozenbyte’s popular Trine franchise is currently set to arrive on Steam Early Access on April 21.
Because Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power incorporates 3D gameplay, a first for the Trine franchise, developer Frozenbyte wants to ensure that every hiccup is ironed out before the official release later in 2015. According to the Trine 3 Steam Page, Frozenbyte is shooting for a Summer 2015 release on PC, with other platforms presumably coming later (considering Trine and Trine 2 seem to release on a new platform every few months).
Trine 3’s first two levels will be playable in single-player and local co-op, and while online co-op will be available, there’s no guarantee that it will be a bug-free experience. Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power’s Early Access version will be sold for $19.99, which is a slightly lower price than that of the final version.
