Resident Evil HD Remastered Sells Over One Million

Arguably the best game in the franchise, Resident Evil Remake hit the Gamecube back in 2002, and even over a decade later it’s making waves. Capcom announced today that the re-release of the remake of Resident Evil has sold over a million copies worldwide.

Resident Evil HD Remastered originally hit the PlayStation 3 in Japan through retail means in late 2014, but was published digitally on current generation systems and PC only three short months ago. That’s a surprisingly strong sales number for a digital-only re-release, especially one priced at $19.99. Hopefully this opens up a whole new avenue for Capcom and remasters games such as Resident Evil Zero in the future.
