Every year during E3, social media is flooded with requests for a PC centered press conference, but, until now they’ve fallen on deaf ears.
PC Gamer along with AMD are hosting the first ever PC Gaming Show to take place in Los Angeles during E3 on June 16th, 5-8pm. The event will be live streamed via Twitch from the Belasco Theater and promises to “bring the PC gaming community together under one roof for breaking news and perspective from some of the biggest names in the industry,” according to the press release.
“At AMD, our focus is on driving gaming innovation in all possible ways. The PC Gaming Show embodies the spirit of innovation, openness and community that’s part of our DNA – delivered by gamers, for gamers,” said Matt Skynner, Corp. VP & General Manager, Computing and Graphics at AMD. “The time is right for a PC-focused event in the week of E3 and we’re honored to be part of bringing the industry together.”
Though there’s no word of the patron saint of PC gaming, Gabe Newell (who has taken flack recently,) the show has gotten some pretty big names attached to it already. It will be hosted by Sean ‘Day’ Plott, with currently announced participants including Dean Hall (DayZ), Blizzard Entertainment, Cliff Bleszinski (Boss Key Productions) and Cloud Imperium Games (Star Citizen.)
