Social anxiety disorder is not a game or something which people can flip on and off like a light switch. However, video games which attempt to let others peek into what lives with various disorders might be like are very much appreciated.
Take Sym – it’s a 2D puzzler platformer that “explores social anxiety.” In this game you experience the inner workings of a teenager’s mind which is controlled by fear. Everything is presented in black and white and levels themselves are maze-like. Protagonist Josh wants to break free, but that’ll prove an immense challenge.
Outside of 44 main levels, the game also includes a level editor so players can create and share even more. Buying Sym before May 14 also lets folks snag a discounted price of $6.39 on Steam.
