UK Charts: Project Cars Outlaps Mortal Kombat X to take Top Spot

Now here’s something we did not see happening; Project Cars has dethroned Mortal Kombat X in the UK. Slightly Mad Studios’ racing simulator launched last week in Europe, and the people appear to be loving it. This is the first time in two years that a racing game has debuted in top spot (Grid 2 was the last).

Mortal Kombat X, which maintained the top spot for three¬†consecutive weeks, slipped into the third place spot. Due to Project Cars victory, Battlefield Hardline retains its crown as the most consecutive wins of 2015. To take Hardline’s crown, a game would have to spend four consecutive weeks at the top to tie it, and then earn a fifth week to take that crown.
