The Last of Us: Left Behind Receives New Launch Trailer

Developer Naughty Dog has released today the launch trailer for the critically acclaimed expansion to The Last of Us, Left Behind.

The Last of Us: Left Behind, which was released exclusively as DLC for PlayStation 3 in 2014, can now be purchased as a standalone title for $9.99 (£7.99/€9.99) on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

The trailer (see below) combines critics’ widespread praise of Left Behind with footage of Ellie and Riley’s journey in the story-based DLC.

Eric Monacelli, community strategist at Naughty Dog, explained on the PlayStation Blog that Left Behind offers “the perfect entry into this world of survival, loyalty, and love if you haven’t experienced it yet.”

Earlier this month, Naughty Dog confirmed that Factions, the multiplayer component from The Last of Us and The Last of Us Remastered, would be included as a free trial in Left Behind.

Hardcore Gamer’s review for Left Behind highlighted that the DLC “beautifully juxtaposes light-hearted fun with oppressive bleakness to craft an affecting story that will run you through a wide range of emotions.”
