UK Charts: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Narrowly Retains the Top Spot

Splatoon has turned out to be a more formidable adversary than anticipated. Though The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt retained the top spot for a second week in a row, Nintendo’s brand new shooter put up quite the challenge. Splatoon makes its debut in second place, becoming the fifth fastest selling Wii U game ever. The quirky third-person shooter is now the biggest launch of a new IP on the Wii U (ZombiU has held this record for over two years).

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare did take quite a stumble and is no longer in the Top 10, though the game still remains in the Top 20. Other than that, the rest of the charts remain relatively stable.
