Deep silver has revealed a plethora of new information regarding their upcoming action-platform game, Mighty No. 9.
The developer announced today on the PlayStation Blog that the game will support cross-buy on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita. While all digital versions on PlayStation will support cross-buy, those who pick up the PlayStation 4 retail version will have access to the PlayStation 3 and Vita digital versions as well.
Those who purchase the PlayStation 4 retail version are in for a treat. Not only will this version include the “Ray” DLC, which grants players access to the Abandoned Lab stage, a boss battle against new bad-guy Ray, and the ability to then play through the entire game as Ray herself, but will also have a poster and an art book called “The Art of Mighty No 9.”
The game will also include pre-order bonuses. The “Retro Hero Mode” will see protagonist Beck in a retro-inspired suit that comes with an NES-style shooting sound effect. This bonus will have the Insta-death mode, where one shot will immediately take down Beck.
“The insta-death mode is not exclusive to only those who pre-order: the core game will also contain a slightly different one-hit death mode.” Deep Silver’s Senior Global Brand Manager, Peter Brolly said.
A Collector’s Edition will be available at launch exclusively to North America. This edition will include the PlayStation 4 retail version, a 6.5” Beck action figure and Keiji Inafune’s signature on the box.
Mighty No. 9 launches September 15 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC. The Vita and 3DS versions will be released at a later date.
