A new Yu-Gi-Oh! title will be heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the summer of 2015, publisher Konami has confirmed today.
Called Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist, the title incorporates elements from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! TV show and the spin-offs, including Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, however, will have additional content available in the form of DLC after the release of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist. In fact, Konami has also confirmed that there will be day-one add-ons, ranging from playable characters to new decks, for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist.
Last week, Germany’s rating board listed Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist will be released in a digital-only format on the Xbox Games Store and PlayStation Store, with Konami ruling out a physical version of the title.
The all-new story mode for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist will introduce brand-new characters, storylines and decks, while classic duels from the anime series will also feature in the title.
“Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist sees players from around the world invited to take part in an elite dueling program that simulates the best duels from every era of the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe,” the story’s synopsis reads.
Konami has revealed that Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist has the most wide-ranging selection of Duel Monsters cards for any title in the franchise, with players able to choose from the 6,600 cards included in the title.

- Duel with the latest cards from the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, including Pendulum Summon Monsters!
- Compete in Battle Pack Sealed and Draft play against the A.I. or with players online for the first time. Battle Pack formats supported include Battle Pack: Epic Dawn, Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants, and War of the Giants: Round 2.
