Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Koji Igarashi’s Castlevania-esque Kickstarter project, has passed another milestone. $3.5 million has been pledged to the project, which means that the game is now coming to PS Vita.
The PS Vita version is being handled by Armature, who are also handling the Wii U version as well. Armature is well known for their work on the PS Vita. There work includes Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, Batman: Arkham Origins – Blackgate, and the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
“We are truly honored to be part of this project, and to work with the other development teams to help bring another one of Igarashi-san’s masterpieces to a handheld,” added Armature on the Kickstarter page.
The studio is planning a whole slew of exclusive features for the Vita version. Here are a few of them:
- Music Export – We thought it would be awesome to be able to export the game’s music to the Vita’s music library. So we’re going to do that.
- PS4 Cross Save Support – Obviously, we’ll need to work with the PS4 dev team on this, but we’ve done cross save before and we’d love to do it again.
- Touch Screen Support – Remember how we mentioned drawing on the map on the WiiU version? Why not do that for Vita too? And scrub around the map with your finger as well.
- PlayStation TV – We’ll also make sure that the game is fully playable on the PS TV.
There’s currently no release date scheduled for Bloodstained, but the Kickstarter does end in four days. Click here if you’d like to take a look at the project, and potentially back it.
