E3 2015: Fallout 4 Boasts a Robust Crafting System

Bethesda announced during their E3 press conference that Fallout 4 will have an extremely meaty crafting system.

This system will enable players to build and dismantle items on the go using trash and other components found around the world. With mechanics that seem similar to those found in Minecraft, the Fallout 4 reel showed players building homes, generators and other defensive equipment in order to store their goods and protect themselves from Raiders.

Speaking about the crafting system, director Todd Howard said, “Like the rest of the game, this is about making your own experience. We want you to build and decorate and make a place you would want to live in. As your settlement grows, people will arrive including certain traders – they have some of the best items in the game.”

Fallout 4 launches November 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
