E3 2015: Blast Ball World Premiere Shown During Nintendo Championships

In an unexpected move, a brand new game is shown off during the Nintendo World Championships. Blast Ball for the 3DS pits teams of giant mechs in a game of laser soccer.

The goal (pun intended) is to shoot the ball into the opposing team’s goal. However, each time you score, the goal will shrink in size making it more difficult for the team in the lead. The first to three points is the winner.

You can disable opponents, use short bursts of energy, charge a shot to push the ball further or use other power-ups to score. There’s a lot of strategy going into the game based on the short amount of gameplay shown during the championships.
