After the official reveal of Fallout 4, much was made about the snippet of dialogue the player character utters at the very end of the first trailer. Whether or not this actually confirmed the fact that players will be able to speak in Bethesda Game Studios’ latest epic was the subject of much debate, but during the Bethesda E3 Showcase, we finally learned the truth.
During the extended gameplay demonstration, we got a glimpse into the intriguing, dynamic dialogue options in Fallout 4. Players will be able to walk away from any conversation at any time, be able to select from a number of options along a dialogue tree, and can even resort to violence during conversations. All of these dynamic conversations are fully voiced by the male or female player character, which should bring a new dynamic to a series that has always seen a silent protagonist.
