During Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference, an extended gameplay demonstration of Halo 5 illuminate some of the campaign details regarding the mysterious upcoming shooter. Locke and Buck, who is played by Nathan Fillion, will spend a hefty chunk of the campaign searching for Master Chief. While no detail was given as to why Locke and Buck are so interested in capturing the most famous Spartan of all time, a number of interesting gameplay details were shown off during the demo. Players will be able to tag weapon caches and other objects in the environment and command a squad of Spartans as they make their way forward on their journey.
The Promethians will make their triumphant return during the campaign, as a battle with the Promethean Keeper of Secrets highlighted the proceedings. All gameplay and cutscenes will play at 60 frames-per-second, as is evidenced by the smooth footage in the campaign demonstration. The biggest and most robust Halo campaign yet is set to take the epic journey of Master Chief to all new heights this October.
