The Dark Souls series has hit a new milestone, selling 8.5 million units worldwide.
According to the Japanese publication, Famitsu(via NeoGaf) Dark Souls and it’s DLC Artorias of The Abyss have sold more than 5.6 million units.
Dark Souls II and its current-gen version, Scholar of the First Sin have combined, shipped more than 2.9 million copies.
These figures do not include sales of From Software’s other titles, including their 2009 release Demon Souls and the recently released Bloodborne.
Dark Souls III will be the next installment in the series and will launch in 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
