Lab Zero Games, developer of 2D fighting game Skullgirls, has just announced its next game, Indivisible, an action-RPG with inspirations in Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid.
It almost feels like an unfair jab at the game, but the synopsis is so comically generic and vague you have to wonder if it was intended that way. Check it out:
Indivisible is a new action/RPG IP, starring Ajna (AHZH-na), a girl who sets out on a globe-spanning journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. On her quest she’ll be joined by a variety of unique heroes and gain new abilities to traverse the environments and defeat the enemies they’ll encounter along the way.
“Discover the truth,” huh? “Mysterious powers,” you say?
It’s a cheap smack at low-hanging fruit there, but there’s just so little to go on for this announcement. Lab Zero promises its signature style of hand-drawn 2D art, which I can always get behind, and the influences the developer is drawing from sound great, but it’s tough to say until we see the game in action, a feature this teaser sorely lacks. Cool art, but let’s see more of it next time, shall we?
