Arrowhead Game Studios continues to revise their recent properties. While it was announced today that the Swedish studios’ Helldivers would be getting a retail release, it has also been revealed that the 2014 reboot of Gauntlet will be updated for PlayStation 4. This isn’t a straight port from the PC release, though:
“This however, will not just be a straight port, but a stronger, cooler, and more slayer-y version of the one we released on PC. We’ve been shaping up a lot of the assets in the game, both Characters and Environments, as well as improving on the game mechanics,” comments Game Director Emil Englund.
“This time around, we wanted to explore the Heroes and their Abilities more in-depth giving them a bigger toolset for players to explore, as well as a new Game Mode in which to exercise their rights as self-proclaimed monster slayers.”
Unfortunately, no information has been released regarding a potential Xbox One version, but one can only hope. Gauntlet: Slayer Edition will be available at $19.99 sometime this August.
