Developer Ubisoft Montpellier is currently developing a new title in the long-running Rayman franchise, publisher Ubisoft announced today.
Called Rayman Adventures, the title is specifically being made for iOS and Android devices, with Ubisoft confirming a release window of autumn 2015.
According to Ubisoft’s press release, Rayman Adventures “represents a major step in bringing players an HD console-quality experience on mobile, displaying a variety of impressive graphical details on a retina screen at 60 FPS.”
Rayman Adventures’ debut trailer, which can be viewed below, has Rayman exploring new lands and completing an assortment of puzzles and quests.
The Incrediballs, who are a brand-new addition to the series, accompany Rayman on his missions — they can be seen in the trailer — and are able to locate other Incrediballs for players to collect.
Rayman Legends, Ubisoft Montpellier’s last major instalment in the franchise, was originally intended to be an exclusive for the Wii U, but the title was delayed in order for it to be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC. The title also made its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in February 2014.
