Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 will both be on the show floor of Gamescom 2015, publisher Konami announced on Monday.
Gamescom, which is held from August 5 to August 9 in Cologne, Germany, marks the first opportunity that members of the public will be able to have a hands-on session with either title.
“Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and PES 2016 will be available for the public to play for the first time at this year’s Gamescom, and that’s the kind of line-up that packs a punch,” says Martin Schneider, general manager at Konami.
“Konami is going to present two stunning games for the current console generation at the most important consumer exhibition in the world, and further showcases Konami’s commitment to bringing AAA titles to the consumer.”
The Phantom Pain received a new trailer at E3 last month, which touched upon significant events in the story and some of the integral themes in the open-world stealth title, including the importance of language and voice.
Earlier this month, Konami released a walkthrough demo of The Phantom Pain’s “A Hero’s Way” mission, with the video demonstration highlighting the multiple ways in which the current task can be approached and completed.
PES 2016, which was announced last month, has Barcelona’s Neymar Jr. as the cover star, with this year’s instalment in the longstanding football franchise receiving improvements on the AI, defending and the aerial strength of footballers.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch on September 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Meanwhile, The Phantom Pain’s PC version is scheduled for release on September 15.
PES 2016 is scheduled for release in North America on September 15 and September 17 in Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
