Rise of the Tomb Raider Developers on Bringing Lara to Life

Rise of the Tomb Raider has a tough act to follow given that 2013’s Tomb Raider was the series’ first game in a long time that people really liked. It focused a lot of attention on humanizing protagonist Lara Croft, and in a new video, the game’s developers talk about how they’re pushing that character development forward even further.

Lots of what you’ll hear them discuss is about the nitty-gritty details of game development, like switching away from Lara’s “bone-driven structure” of the last game, but there’s plenty of interesting stuff to glean, like how they’re making sure to carry over scars from Lara’s injuries in the previous game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider hits Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 10, 2015.
