Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta Dated for Xbox One and PC

Activision and Treyarch have revealed when Xbox One and PC gamers can get their hands on the Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta. Players on both platforms can hop on and check out the latest Call of Duty starting August 26.

As previously announced, the PS4 beta will take place a week earlier on August 19, and end August 23. Xbox One and PC players will have their Black Ops III days from August 26-August 30. No matter the platform, the beta will only last five days. There will be no beta for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

This is the first Call of Duty game since World at War to receive a beta, which Treyarch and Activision hope to use to instill more consumer confidence in the Call of Duty brand. Call of Duty sales have been on a decline, and Activision hopes that Black Ops III will reverse that trend. The beta will be a good way to determine how well consumers enjoy the new momentum-based, chained movement system.
