Shin Megami Tensei IV was, and still is, one of the best RPGs on the Nintendo 3DS available. It contains an incredible dark story filled with pokemon-esque monster collection, while containing a fantastic soundtrack and strategic, turn-based combat.
Well it looks like Atlus’ baby has done well. Very well. It was announced through Atlus Japan’s twitter that the 2013 game had sold over 600,000 copies worldwide. In celebration, Atlus will be releasing a “Atlus Best Collection” version that will be available in Japan on October 8 for 2,980 yen (roughly $25). Unfortunately, no western release is of this branding is likely, but hopefully they at least include some of the DLC.
Shin Megami Tensei IV was released July 16, 2013 in North America and October 30, 2014 in Europe to rave reviews.
