The popular Steam Early Access open-world survival game ARK: Survival Evolved has been a hit so far. Putting players on a pretty dinosaur island with other players and forcing them explore, craft and of course survive, has already garnered a fine following. Players are also already well into messing with ARK’s custom Unreal 4 Editor made specifically for creating mods, and taming dinosaurs left and right.
At Gamescom, developer Studio Wildcard announced that ARK will be part of the Xbox Preview Program this year, which is a program that allows participating Xbox One owners to try out software on their Xbox Ones before its official release. In exchange of course, participants provide Microsoft with their feedback. Studio Wildcard, in collaboration with Instinct Games, still intend to officially launch ARK: Survival Evolved next June onto PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
Until then, check out the latest trailer for the game made specifically for Gamescom, featuring a new snow-covered biome, firearms and a new boss battle.
