Destiny: The Taken King’s Prologue Cinematic is Dark and Spooky

Bungie has released the Cinematic Prologue for Destiny: The Taken King, and it sure sets a dark and spooky tone. As you can expect, the trailer is entirely focused on Oryx, the Taken King.

Eris Morn, the character introduced in The Dark Below, narrates the trailer. With Crota’s last breath, he was able to send out a message through the solar system to his daddy, Oryx. Now, Oryx is coming to our solar system hell-bent on avenging his son. His plan involves taking Fallen, Hive, Vex, and Cabal enemies and transforming them into his own Taken army. He’s also bringing an entire fleet with him alongside his large Dreadnought.

Destiny: The Taken King kicks off Year 2 of Destiny. This mighty large expansion aims to fix many problems that plagued Year 1. There are a ton of new weapons, armor, multiplayer maps, sub-classes, and a retooled story. In addition, Nolan North replaces Peter Dinklage as Ghost, and leveling up is no longer tied to Light. The Taken King is out September 15 on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.
