Developer The Coalition and Microsoft released on Monday the launch trailer for the highly anticipated Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
The Ultimate Edition’s launch trailer, which can be viewed below, features the return of Gary Jules’ “Mad World,” a song that was used in the 2006 trailer for the original Gears of War.
The new trailer also showcases the updates and improvements made to the Ultimate Edition, with the remastered title having been revamped and, as a result, running at 1080p and 60fps.
Since the announcement of the Ultimate Edition at Microsoft’s 2015 E3 press conference, The Coalition has released behind-the-scenes footage from the title as part of its Remastering Gears of War series, which has focused on aspects like the Locust Horde, gameplay and visuals.
Retailing at $39.99, The Coalition and Microsoft have confirmed that the Ultimate Edition will include beta access for Gears of War 4 and comes bundled with the four Gears of War titles that were released on Xbox 360.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will launch on August 25 for Xbox One. Meanwhile, PC users will also be receiving the Ultimate Edition at some point in the future.
