Iconic rock band Van Halen will have their music featured in the longstanding Rock Band franchise for the first time in the upcoming Rock Band 4, developer Harmonix announced today.
Van Halen’s “Panama,” which is one of the singles from the album 1984, will be the band’s only track available at Rock Band 4’s launch, but Harmonix has confirmed that further songs will be added to the Rock Band Music Store at a later date.

The addition of “Panama” continues to bolster the music catalogue that Harmonix will have for Rock Band 4 on its release, as the developer has already revealed the title’s first six songs in May, a further 11 tracks in July and announced 17 more songs earlier this month.
“For years we’ve wanted to bring Van Halen’s music to Rock Band,” says Steve Janiak, CEO of Harmonix. “Not only are the songs incredible in their own right, but they’re amazingly fun to play and perform, whether you’re on guitar, bass, drums, or vocals.”
Rock Band 4 is scheduled for release on October 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
