In just a couple of months, the next yearly installment in the Assassin’s Creed series will be out, and what’s a game with out a pre-order bonus nowadays? With that in mind, Ubisoft just announced what you will get if you pre-order Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate before its release date on October 23 and it’s called The Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy.
In previous AC games, the pre-order bonuses gave you missions and outfits, but with Syndicate it seems like you’ll be getting a bigger, more fleshed out set of story missions that team you up with the two greatest minds of the Industrial Revolution: Charles Darwin, the man responsible for the theory of evolution, and Charles Dickens, one of the greatest novelists of all time. The two are involved in some sort of mystery involving an unknown plant that emits a deadly toxin, and they think that someone (Templars, probably) is trying to use it as some sort of biological weapon.
It seems obvious why Darwin would be a good resource in a mystery like this one, but Dickens’ role is harder to speculate. Maybe the person or people going about killing people with plant toxin are basing their attacks on some of the writer’s work. Who knows, but it actually seems like a cool set of missions to play, and a cool mystery to figure out.
Check out a trailer for the DLC below and make sure to keep your eye’s peeled next week as we go hands-on with the latest build of the game.
