If there’s one game to play all year, it’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The massive, 100+ hour RPG was released a mere 14 weeks ago to overwhelming acclaim, and since then, it has exceeded all expectations in sales. The once PC exclusive franchise tested the console grounds with the Xbox 360 version of Assassination of Kings, and it was probably for the best as its arrival on Xbox One and PlayStation this time around has ensured for incredible sales.
It was announced today that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has exceeded 6 million copies sold worldwide, an incredible achievement for both the Polish studio and the RPG community. This no doubt has something to do with CD Projekt RED’s overwhelming support, constantly adding to the game over the last three months, while at the same time fixing any issues consumers had. More DLC is scheduled for the future, although it has been said that they will begin charging players appropriately this time around.
